I am so glad that you're reading this, and probably not for the reasons you think. If you're here, it means that we have crossed paths somewhere, or God has led you directly to this page and has something specifically for you. To me, that's exciting!
This is where I will share weekly devotionals, blog posts, and anything else that I feel might touch someone's life. Since this is the first post, let me tell you a little about myself.

This is my family... and one of my absolute favorite pictures! My son, my daughter, me, and my hubby—all taking in God's mountain masterpiece. We are a tight-knit family of nature lovers who have endured a lot but continue to see grace after grace.
Where I Come From...
Allan Jackson's song says it best: Where I come from, it's cornbread and chicken
Where I come from, a lot of front porch pickin'
Where I come from, tryna make a livin'
And workin' hard to get to Heaven. Where I come from. I grew up on a huge, backwoods tree farm in Mobile, Alabama. My childhood days were spent working the land, running fences, and listening to Reba McEntire from my cassette player while swinging in a hammock at the top of a wooden play gym I helped Dad build. We didn't have much, but I had a family that loved me and unwavering support. We moved off the land as I entered high school, and to this day, it's my heart's happy place.
Fast forward through a few traumas, bouts of depression, a first attempt at college, and a 15-year marriage that didn't work out (but gave me two amazing kiddos), and here I am.
As I stood at the end of 2019, looking at my life on reboot, I gathered my resolve and decided to go back to school. Having met the love of my life and with a rock-solid support system, I took a full course load of classes at Troy University Online and graduated with honors—holding my beloved English degree. In 2022, I married my soulmate, and now, it's time to get my literary life off the ground!
Words Are My Passion...
I have been writing since I was ten years old, and I still have the beige typewriter my Memaw (also a writer) gave me before she passed—a permanent symbol of my love for the written word.
Through the years, I have expanded my writing portfolio to include: poetry, devotions, Bible studies, informational articles, children's tales, non-fiction personal growth, short stories, and more.
I am now using my writing to try and encourage others to become their best selves and my editing to help fellow writers step into their own voices. Words are my passion, and helping others reach their full potential is my heartsong.
This is me, and everything I write here will be a reflection of my heart, my spirit, and my sometimes brutally honest thoughts.
Subscribe, drop a line, and I'll see you in ink!
